Teacher Designed

Teacher Designed
As a teacher, any opportunity I can give my students to write a mark, letter, word, sentence or story is a win. At home the same is true. My mom goal is for my sons to have at least one writing experience a day.  That’s why I took the journaling routine from my classroom and brought it home. Journaling is a foolproof way to build writing into your day, teachers know it and now you do too.

Custom
Created for You
When it comes to writing, it can be a struggle to figure out your child’s “sweet spot”. That is why I include tons of support materials with your Daily Journal. Experiment with our support materials to create a writing routine that works best for you and your child.  Switch it up when a routine gets too easy or move a step back when frustration sets in. The goal is to just to write!

What's Included

Journal: This 9 page packed includes 30 fun writing prompts displayed in a colorful and kid friendly way.

Half Pencil: Small pencil for small hands. This half pencil the teacher suggested first writing tool for developing proper grip. Gone are the days of chunky first and hello growing with me.

Fun Pen: Remember the point is to love writing and we love things that are fun. That is why we include a fun writing instrument for days when your young author is feeling goofy.

Highlighter: This if for the kiddos just beginning to write letters or letter like marks. Ask your child the journal prompts and write their answer using the highlighter. Have you child trace your work using the half pencil.

White Board: When your child can write letters but stumbles on phonics (in a way that stalls their journaling enjoyment) stick this white board sticker anywhere and use it as a quick visual support for words your child is still working on.

Blank Books: Some of our journal prompts may lead to longer conversations, creative stories or reminiscing. When this day comes introduce our blank books. Depending on current skills your child can dictate the book to you or write it themselves.
